San Diego Mental Health Disability Forum for Bipolar Disorder

San Diego Mental Health Disability Forum for Bipolar Disorder

On Behalf of | Jun 18, 2012 | Mental Health Disability |

On May 23rd, I attended the International Bipolar Foundation’s public forum in Del Mar, CA just north of San Diego.  Former Congressman Patrick Kennedy was the featured speaker, and he shared his many ups and downs throughout the years.  I was inspired by both Congressman Kennedy’s speech and the work of this foundation to reduce the disability associated with bipolar disorder.  The Foundation’s website provides great resources for those affected by this brain disorder, their family members and other loved ones.  I encourage those of you affected by or interested in this mental health disability to visit this link.

As a San Diego Social Security disability attorney, I am happy to know that this resources exists and to be able to share it with my clients.  There are many other organizations that do similar things to reduce the burden of mental health disability. Examples of other organizations which focus on other mental illnesses include the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).

Please contact me if you need help with your Social Security Disability appeal.
